Get it down. Decide later.
A thought turns up on a walk, in a meeting, halfway through someone else's sentence. Open Synmit and get it down: type it, say it, or photograph the page you scribbled it on. Where it goes is a decision for later. When you're ready, one tap lands it wherever you already get things done.
Don't hold it. Synmit it.
Coming to the App Store, for iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch.
The thought at any hour
It doesn't matter where it finds you: the shower, a walk, two in the morning, the middle of a meeting. You remembered the thing you forgot earlier. You just saw how to solve the problem you've been working on. Get it down and stop carrying it. Synmit it, and it's kept exactly as it arrived until you're ready to do something with it.
The thank-you
Someone does something worth saying out loud, in the middle of your afternoon, in the middle of something else. One line, with their name at the front. It lands where you keep things for your next conversation with them, and you say it to their face with the detail still in it.
The off-site
Laptops down, pen and paper handed out. You take notes the way you always have, with a mark in the margin for anything you'll need to do. Halfway through the day you open one thought and the rest of the day goes into it: the page you filled, photographed so the marks come with it; the slides on the big screen, with your notes under each while they still mean something; the questions they asked, answered where you sat. At the end of the day the whole thing goes to your inbox in one tap, in order. The next morning you read it through and the actions go into the system you run your work on.
The best device for an idea is the one you've got on you. Watch, phone or Mac: say it, and it lands.
Try this
Open your to-do app and add one thing. Count the taps. Synmit is two.
One to open it. One to synmit it.
What you can do now
- Keep one thought growing all day, in any mix of typing, voice and photos.
- Speak into the thought where your cursor is, and read it as you say it.
- Put a photo of your handwriting into a thought, straight from the camera.
- Start a thought from the Lock Screen, Control Centre or the Action button.
- Decide where a thought goes when you're ready, not before.
- See "Landed in" when it has arrived, and the reason if it hasn't, so nothing goes quietly missing, ever.
- Open your thoughts as files, in a folder you can see and take with you.
- Carry on with a thought on your Mac that you started on your iPhone.
- Say it to your watch, and your iPhone does the rest.
Where thoughts land
Reminders. Calendar. Notes. Your email, sent from your own account. Notion. Trello. Jira. And your own shortcuts.
Data privacy matters. Your thoughts are yours.
Until you choose otherwise, one person can read a thought: you.
Synmit has no account and no server. There's nothing of yours anywhere but on your own devices, and no way for anyone, including us, to look.
A thought is a file on your own device, iPhone or Mac, in a folder you can open yourself.
It leaves your device only when you synmit it, and goes only to the place you chose.
Your thoughts stay on the device you write them on. To have them on all your devices, turn on sync: it uses your own iCloud Drive, under your Apple Account. With Advanced Data Protection on, not even Apple can read them.
Voice is transcribed on your own device, iPhone or Mac, by Apple's on-device speech recognition; your watch hands its recording to your iPhone. The recording stays with the thought and goes nowhere else.
On the App Store, Synmit's privacy label reads Data Not Collected. Because none is.
Built on three principles
Speed. If you have to think about how to get a thought down, you've lost it. So Synmit opens on a new thought, with nothing to choose first.
Trust. Nothing is ever silently lost. "Landed in" means it has arrived. If it hasn't, you see why, and your thought is still there to retry.
Ownership. Your thoughts are files on the devices you choose, sent only where you tell them.
